CAIRO: The Central Bank of Egypt will sell treasury bonds worth 10 billion EGP (U.S $1.6 billion USD) in public auctions Thursday and Sunday. Thursday's auction will issue 1.5 billion EGP (U.S. $250 million USD) worth of 182-day treasury bonds maturing on February 21, 2012 and 3.5 billion EGP (U.S. $588 million USD) worth of 1-year treasury bonds maturing on August 21, 2012. Sunday's auction will issue three-month bonds valued at 1.5 billion EGP (U.S. $250 million USD) maturing on November 22, 2011. 273-day treasury bonds totaling 3.5 billion EGP (U.S $588 million) will mature May 22, 2012.
