CAIRO: Pro-military demonstrators gathered in Cairo's Roxy Square announced earlier this evening that they were going to move to the Ministry of Defense to support and defend it against any “attempts” by Tahrir protesters. Protesters gathered in Cairo's now-iconic Tahrir Square organized a march to the Ministry of Defense this evening. The Roxy protesters said Egypt's ruling military council is the “safety valve” of Egypt and its people and no one has the right to attack it. They confirmed they were mobilizing large masses to go to the Ministry of Defense to ensure that the “farce” that took place outside the ministry yesterday would not happen again. They criticized yesterday's events, when a group attempted to march from Tahrir to the Ministry of Defense.
