CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Finance Samir Radwan said tax revenues for the last financial year of 2010/2011 reached 169.7 billion Egyptian pounds, and that they were 146.7 billion EGP last year, meaning the rate of development reached 15.6 percent. Radwan said during a press conference that was held today at the Ministry that this revenue is considered a good result especially that economic performances were good during last year. "Only God knows what will happen next year," added Radwan. He also said that sovereign revenues from the Suez Canal Authority, Egyptian Petroleum Association and governmental bonds bill reached 57.2 billion EGP. The revenue for other associations reached 2.5 billion EGP, while sales tax reached 62.5 EGP and income tax 49.995 billion EGP.
