CAIRO: The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Faiza Aboul Naga, is pleased to restore Egypt's role in Africa through intensive and effective participation in various events. Aboul Naga said Africa is of great strategic importance in investments and trade to Egypt. She made this statement on the sidelines of the African Summit held in the capital of Equatorial Guinea in the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister. She stressed the need for Africans to depend on each other and pointed out Egypt has the potential human resources for proper cooperation with African countries. She stressed the coming period will witness more cooperation between Egypt and African countries. About the economic aspects in the African Summit, Aboul Naga said the focus of the summit should be on activating the role of youth in development processes in order to accelerate development. She stressed the Africa has a promising present and future and enjoys the availability of all the necessary resources for progress. She noted the Egyptian business community is aware of the importance of Africa and the promising opportunities for investment. She said the government supports investment for Africa. Abu Naga emphasized the importance of transportation projects between African countries, including roads and railways. She noted Egypt implemented the practice of territory of roads linking the north and south of Africa.
