Zamalek could be loaning out under-fire star midfielder Shikabala or handing him a hefty fine in the aftermath of his infamous rift with coach Hassan Shehata, board member Hazem Emam said. Shikabala engaged in a heated exchange with Shehata when the latter decided to substitute him in the Champions League game against Maghreb Fes, a shock rant that saw the 26-year-old toss his arm wrist and yell at his boss on his way to the dug-out. He was caught by TV cameras shouting at the decorated coach ‘If you don't want me in your team, let me go'; as Zamalek announced that the hot-headed midfielder was set for a ‘maximum sanction' for his furious demeanor. “Most of Zamalek board members are inclined towards loaning out Shikabala following his conduct but we are awaiting for coach Shehata's report of the incident to make a final decision,” club legend Emam said during his TV show on Al-Hayat TV. “In case he would not be loaned out, he is going to be handed a big fine that may reach 30% or 40% of his contract sum. “But I think Shikabala is not a player whom we can easily get rid of for such an act. “He is a player who is loved by everyone in the club and has a special stature among Zamalek fans, but the problem is that when he gets furious no one can control his behavior.” Shikabala, who has yet to make a comment since his outburst, has been dropped from the squad that flied to Saudi Arabia to meet Nahda in an exhibition match.
