FIFA is set to begin the process of reinstalling the Egyptian FA after it had been sacked by PM Kamal Al-Ganzouri in the wake of the Port-Said disaster. President Sepp Blatter echoed the world football governing body's rejection to the government interference in matters related to the game; an act that is totally prohibited by FIFA. "We are going to take up the case from (Monday) so that this association is reinstated because it is the (body) that has the responsibility to organize the competitions and it must carry on (its work)," FIFA chief Blatter told a news conference. While refusing to accept the government's decision, the EFA's board stepped down one day after the PM's announcement. It is understood that Zaher and his crew will be investigated after the tragic events at the Port-Said Stadium, where 74 supporters were killed.
