Egypt keeper Ahmed Al-Shennawi was nominated in a shortlist of three players for the 2011 Most Promising Talent, CAF announced. The goalkeeping wonderkid dazzled in the CAF U-23 Championship, playing a vital role in Egypt's qualification for next year's Olympic Games. Al-Shennawi will face competition from Tottenham's 16-year-old Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly and Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa of VVV Venlo. The Masri guardian was the only Egyptian in CAF's final nominations as winners will be unveiled at the Awards Gala on December 22 in Accra. Andre Ayew, Samuel Eto'o, Seydou Keita, Moussa Sow and Yaya Toure will vie for the Player of the Year award, while Oussama Darragi, Yaya Banana and Zouhir Dhaouadi were nominated for the best Africa-based player.
