Syrianska expect new Omotoyossi bid from Zamalek
Published in FilGoal on 12 - 09 - 2011

Swedish side Syrianska are waiting for an improved offer from Zamalek for striker Razak Omotoyossi, revealing that the initial bid from the Cairo club was turned down.
Zamalek announced signing the Benin striker for $220,000 last month, only for him to make an appearance for Syrianska on Sunday, scoring the opening goal in a 2-1 league win over Kalmar.
According to Syrianska chairman Andrew Temiz, Omotoyossi is still under contract with his club, who could still be lured to sell if a higher bid was made by Zamalek.
“We have not talked with them since we turned down their last bid three weeks ago. We would like to keep Razak, but if they come with a new bid, we would like to listen”, Syrianska president Andrew Temiz was quoted as saying by Swedish media.
Verbal agreement
Meanwhile, Omotoyossi confirmed he has reached a final agreement with Zamalek officials over a summer switch, stressing his desire to part ways with Syrianska before the end of September.
“I had a verbal agreement with them (Zamalek) and I hope to move by the end of the month so that I can play there before January,” he said following Sunday's league game.
“But I also want to show respect for Syrianska, it would not be a problem anyway. The clubs are still talking, we'll see what happens next.”
The 25-years old's contract with Syrianska runs out at the end of October, but Zamalek are keen to land him before the closure of the summer transfer window on Thursday.
Zamalek seek to seal Omotoyossi's deal as their seventh summer signing to join Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan, striker Hussein Hamdi, playmaker Saied Mohamed, defenders Karim Al Hassan, Hani Saied and Salah Soliman in the close season.
