Morocco's Wydad Casablanca came back from two goals down to grab a 2-2 draw with their Tunisian visitors Esperance in the CAF Champions League Group B. Goals from Wajdi Bouazzi and Walid Hicheri gave the Tunisian champs a comfortable first-half lead, but the Moroccans replied through Fabrice Nguessi and Youssef Kadioui after the break. The result is relatively positive for Egyptian champions Ahli, who saw off Algeria's MC Alger 2-0 on Friday. Wydad remain in charge of the group with five points and a better goal-difference than Esperance, with Ahli on their tails on four. Ahli lost major ground after drawing at home with Wydad and losing at Esperance, but the six-time champions have now revived their hopes after the third round.
