Zamalek called on the Egyptian FA to assign Ahli's league matches to foreign referees for the remainder of the season. The White Knights launched a scathing attack on the refereeing committee in the wake of Ahli's controversial 2-1 victory over ENPPI on Thursday. The Red Devils came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win at ENPPI in a game that saw the hosts have two goals disallowed for offside either side of the interval. Striker Ahmed Abdul-Zaher appeared to be played onside by Ahli's right-back Ahmed Ali when he found the net in the first half but international referee Samir Othman ruled out his effort. Ivorian frontman Vincent Die Foneye scored another goal in the second period, nonetheless; ENPPI were once again denied by the whistle of Othman, who took into consideration the flag of his assistants. Second-placed Zamalek, who are now six points adrift of leaders Ahli, want to make sure that their arch-rivals won't score any more 'undeserved victories'. "We want foreign referees to officiate Ahli's remaining league matches," Zamalek's spoksman Sabri Serag told FilGoal.com. "We have already sent a letter to the Egyptian FA. Our main priority is to keep our chances to in the title race. "Every aspect of the Egyptian football is developing at a very rapid pace, except for refereeing. "We don't want our competitors to register any more undeserved victories."
