Zamalek board member Ibrahim Youssef was tipped-lipped over the prospect of sacking coach Henri Michel but said the club will settle all football-related issues next week. FilGoal.com learned that Michel will probably be sacked if Zamalek fail to beat newcomers Military Production in Saturday's Egyptian Premier League game. The Cairo giants have won just one game since the Frenchman took over following the sacking of Michel Decastel, drew once and lost twice. A stumble against Military Production will virtually end Zamalek's hopes of winning the league title for the first time since 2004. "The board will convene on Friday next week to make decisions over the team's poor run of results," Youssef, a prominent Zamalek defender in the 1980s, told FilGoal.com. Youssef refused to comment on Michel's status but said: "We want to see what Zamalek will do against Military production before taking any decisions." French tactician Michel returned to the White Knights for a second stint in a bid to turn around their fortunes after a disappointing start to the season under Swiss manager Decastel. He was widely criticized for being passive in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with promoted Gouna as he made just one substitution, introducing central midfielder Ibrahim Salah when Zamalek were in dire need of attacking options. He was also blamed for keeping faith with off-form striker Amr Zaki, who was nowhere near his best and was red-cared late in the game for dissent.
