Barcelona and Real Madrid maintained their perfect run in the Primera Liga after defeating Malaga and Tenerife respectively on Saturday. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who replaced Thierry Henry in the first half after the French striker was injured, set holders Barcelona on their way to a 2-0 victory at Malaga. He opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he chested a long ball from Lionel Messi to fire in and take his tally to five goals in as many games. Defender Gerard Pique, who came on as a second-half substitute, added the second in the 59th minute after poking a Xavi free-kick into the net. Barcelona have maximum 15 points from five games, just like arch-rivals Real who outclassed promoted Tenerife 3-0. A brace from French forward Karim Benzema either side of the interval and a late Kaka goal gave Manuel Pellegrini's side all three points. Sevilla remained three points behind the leading duo with a thrashing 4-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao. Goals from Renato, Alvaro Negredo, Frederic Kanoute and Jesus Navas sank Bilbao, who suffered their second defeat of the season.
