Ahli midfielder Mohamed Barakat confirmed that his team will be striving to beat Adelaide United and end their Club World Cup campaign with a win. The Red Devils will be playing for the fifth/sixth place, after losing 4-2 to CONCACAF champions Pachuca on Saturday. "We are all focused on winning Thursday's game," Barakat was quoted as saying by Ahli's official website. "We want to make up for our fans after the Pachuca loss, and leave a good World Cup memory. "We want to show people that we're as good as any other team in the competition, and that the Pachuca game was a one-time incident." The mercurial player added that the Pachuca defeat is not the end of the world as the fans and media describe it. "No team wins forever, everyone has to lose one day. I hope that we can bounce back from this result to resume a healthy campaign in the Egyptian League and Cup," he added.
