Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola paid tribute to the supporters, following his side's 6-1 demolition to Atletico Madrid on Saturday. Barca produced a performance of their own at Nou Camp to record their sixth successive victory in all competition, despite having a torrid start to the season. "I want to thank the supporters. I would like the people to know that we are stronger as a club and a team with them behind us," Guardiola said after the game. "The players go out to the pitch feeling lifted and much stronger and they play better. I am pleased because we have had a very good game in front of a full stadium.

"He really wanted to play and was very happy and that was evident out on the pitch. He is a really decisive player."
