Ismaili assistant coach Khaled Al-Qammash said on Wednesday that the new technical staff's target is to lead the club to a second-place finish in the Egyptian League. Emad Soliman has been appointed as Ismaili boss, succeeding sacked manager Ismail Hefni. Under the new management, Ismaili will be looking to earn a Champions League spot rather than setting an unrealistic target of winning the Egyptian League title. "We will dedicate our efforts to finishing as runners-up in the league this season," Al-Qammash told FilGoal.com. "We also aim to extend the contacts of our star players as well as identifying the positions which need to be strengthened next season." Ismaili lie fourth in the league table with 35 points and one game in hand, one adrift of second-placed Petrojet. Ahli have virtually secured a fourth successive league triumph as they are flying high on top of the table on 54 points.
