Saudi champions Ittihad Jeddah are after the signature of Ahli's Portuguese manager Manuel Jose, Saudi reports claimed on Monday. Al-Riyadh newspaper claimed that Ittihad's new chairman Gamal Abou-Emara is currently in Cairo negotiating a possible move for Jose. The Ahli coach's contract runs out by the end of the season, and he is yet to reach an agreement with the Reds' board over a new deal. On the other hand, Ittihad are believed to be in search of a new coach to replace under-fire Vahid Halilhodzic after the Bosnian's poor results with the team this season. Reports in Saudi Arabia also suggested that the Jeddah-based club issued an ultimatum to Halilodzich ahead of Tuesday's league game against Al-Shabab.
