Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger ruled out any chance of sacrificing his star man Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona. The Spanish midfield marvel has been rested during the 0-0 Champions League draw at Slavia Prague in midweek as he flied home to watch Barca's 2-0 win over Rangers at Nou Camp. Consequently, speculation linked the 20-year-old with a move to the Catalan side, where he initially graduated as an academy member. However, the Gunners boss reaffirmed the reasons of Fabregas' visit to Spain as he quashed the possibility of repeating the Thierry Henry move. "No chance," replied Wenger when asked by a reporter about the idea of Fabregas joining Henry at Barca. "This is no story, Fabregas is under contract with us. If Barcelona want to buy any player under contract then I'll give them my phone number.
Rijkaard admires Fabregas talents "But I think they have it because they just bought Thierry Henry." 'No defects' player Barca coach Frank Rijkaard heaped praise upon the talent of the Arsenal ace, whom he believes to be a complete player. "He is one player who stands out most in the football world because of his enormous talent. At his age what he is doing at Arsenal is something impressive," he told Spanish daily Sport. "It should be bared in mind that he has become the real leader at Arsenal. "I do not go searching for any defects in people, but the truth is you do not encounter any in Fabregas." Concurrently, Sport reported that Fabregas, who sticks to Arsenal, would prefer returning to Barca rather than joining Real Madrid in case he decided to leave the Gunners back to Spain.
