Ahli boss Manuel Jose has launched a scathing attack on the Egyptian Football Association vice-president Ahmed Shobeir for hinting that the Portuguese maybe on his way out of the Cairo giants. Shobeir, who presents a popular show on Dream TV, said that Jose has packed all his stuff in Cairo before flying to Portugal for his yearly vacation. "Shobeir was the one who spread this rumor and unfortunately people believed him without making an attempt to know the truth," Jose told Egyptian newspaper Al-Messa on Saturday. "I don't know why Shobeir is acting like this although he was a former Ahli keeper. I have extended my contract with the Red Devils and intend to carry on, I love this club. "Many people are envying my success with Ahli and are hoping to see me depart but their wish will not be fulfilled, at least for one more season," the former Sporting Lisbon and Benfica coach added. Jose also commented on Ahli's two successive defeats against Ismaili and Zamalek in the last two matches of the Egyptian League. "What could we have done while nine regulars were rested, these results were expected as we were playing against two powerful teams." "This rest period was a must in order to have fresh players for the coming CAF Champions League campaign."
