Manchester United defender Gary Neville is still three weeks short of recovery from ankle ligaments damage, the Premiership leaders' coach Alex Ferguson said on Friday. The England international defender sustained the injury during United's league match against Bolton Wanderers two week ago and his recovery took longer than expected. "The swelling has only just gone down on his ankle, so the injury was maybe a bit worse than we thought in terms of the swelling," Ferguson was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. "But he's been doing some good work in the gym and I expect him to be back in the first team in three weeks' time." Neville is expected to miss United's both legs against AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Meanwhile, United's Dutch keeper Edwin van der Sar and striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have been declared fit to take part in the team's Premiership game against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
