Juventus restored their Serie B superiority with a 1-0 win at Modena to maintain a two-point lead over second placed Napoli who beat Triestina 3-1 on Saturday. The fortunate Juve were gifted an own goal in the 86th minute as Modena defender Matteo Centurioni deflected Valeri Bojinov's cross into his own net. The Bianconeri dominated most of the game forcing Modena goalkeeper Giorgio Frezzolini to make several good saves as Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved came close but the unfortunate Frezzolini was beaten by his own teammate. Juventus will face third-placed Piacenza at the Olimpico stadium next Saturday. The Italian giants are atop Serie B on 46 points from 24 games, despite a nine-point penalty for match-fixing scandal.
