Egyptian goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy's Dutch Eredivisie debut this season turned out to be a disaster as Feyenoord suffered a crushing 3-0 defeat to league rivals FC Twente on Sunday. Ekramy took Henk Timmer's place in goal after the latter sustained an injury in Holland's friendly against Russia last Wednesday. Jeroen Heubach opened the score for Twente after 25 minutes before Kennedy Bakircioglu sealed the victory with a brace in the 57th and 88th minutes. FC Twente's win leaves them clear in 4th place with 50 points and, eight clear of 5th place Feyenoord. The defeat added to the misery of an underperforming Erwin Koeman's side who was shocked by the recent UEFA Court of Arbitration decision to eliminate his team from the UEFA Cup following crowd trouble at Nancy in December.
