Zamalek have announced on Friday the signing of Sfaxien defender Wissem El-Abdi on a two-year deal for $400,000. A club source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com that Zamalek are waiting for the international clearance in order to register El-Abdi in the team's local and African squads. The Cairo giants have been desperate to reinforce their defense; the team's weakest line which was to blame for many defeats. Meanwhile, Zamalek have called off their negotiations with Turkey-based defenders Beshir Al-Tabei and Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa due to their high financial demands. Al-Tabei demanded receiving EGP 1.5 million per season to return to his former side while Al-Saqqa wanted 1.2 million.
