Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly caught attention for both right and wrong reasons as Tottenham Hotspur held hosts Blackburn to a 1-1 draw in the Premiership on Sunday. Ghaly earned a penalty-kick on the hour mark after he was brought down inside the area by Tugay Kerimoglu who clipped the Egyptian international to deny a one-on-one situation. Kerimoglu was sent-off and Jermaine Defoe stepped up to pin a low spot-kick home to cancel out Kerimoglu's opener in the 23rd minute. But Ghaly turned from hero to villian when he received his marching orders in the dying seconds for elbowing Michael Gray in an aerial challenge. Tottenham coach Martin Jol was left fuming by the red card and was also dismissed due to his angry argument with the referee. Egyptian international striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' played the whole 90 minutes and put on a good show despite failing to score. Tottenham remained in 12th spot with 16 games while Blackburn, who are tipped to sign Egypt defender Wael Gomaa in January, are three places behind on 13 points.
