Finn driver Kimi Raikkonen snatched the pole position of the Hungarian Grand Prix in the last gasp ahead of Ferrari's Brazilian driver Felipe Massa. The Mclaren driver beat Massa's record with 0.286 seconds to register his second pole position of the season. Meanwhile, German driver Michael Schumacher and Spaniard Fernando Alonso were hit by two-second penalties due to ignoring red and yellow flags during the second and third practice sessions. Schumacher will start the race 11th while Alonso will kick-off the race from the 15th. British driver Jenson Button and Dutch driver Christian Albers were also hit by penalties due to changing their engines before the qualifying.
