Juventus have named former France captain Didier Deschamps as their new coach, the Italian champions said on Monday. "The Frenchman today signed a contract that ties him to the club for the next two years," the club said in a statement carried by their official website. "Deschamps' return is great news for the Bianconeri, who witnessed the peak of his playing career during his five years with the club from 1994-1999." The World Cup winner featured for Juventus 178 times and helped the team win three Italian League titles, Italian Cup, and the Champions League. Deschamps, one of the most resilient defenders at his time, coached Monaco, for three seasons, taking them to the Champions League final in 2004. He replaces Italian master Fabio Capello who resigned last week to take over as Real Madrid manager.
