Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed on Sunday the reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid should Juan Miguel Villar Mir win the presidential elections. "Yes, they (reports) are true," Sky Sports Network quoted Ronaldo as saying. "After the World Cup, I decide my life." The Manchester United man disclosed his hopes to leave after scoring the penalty that knocked England out of the World Cup in Gelsenkirchen. Spanish newspaper AS said Ronaldo will seal the move to Madrid if Villar Mir was voted as the club's chairman. The report had been dismissed by both Manchester United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson. However, Ronaldo now seems intent on securing a switch away from Old Trafford, a move some of his teammates might not mind considering the controversy he caused during Portugal's 3-1 penalty-kick win over England. The winger appeared to demand a red card for Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney during the game on Sunday. Rooney was dismissed after being judged to have stamped on Ricardo Carvalho. Rooney reacted to Ronaldo's actions by pushing the 21-year-old Portuguese player in the chest before being shown the red card.
