Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas said the team's youth and enthusiasm will be the key to progression past the quarter finals. In Spain's last 11 World Cup attempts, they failed to progress further than the quarter-finals. And according to Fabregas, that is all about to change. "It's true that we haven't really done well in previous World Cups but now it is completely different," Fabregas said as reported in BBC Sport. "There are only three players who were in the last World Cup so we feel ready." The 19-year-old player has a lot to be confident about, having already trounced each of their group H opponents, at times utilizing three starters under the age of 25. Strikers Fernando Torres, 22, and David Villa, 24, as well as 20-year-old defender Sergio Ramos, all started in Spain's opening two matches, and have impressed their holding midfielder. "We are a very young team and we are working very hard," he said. "Everyone wants to be in the first 11 so I think that is very important for the competition in the team. We are playing well at the moment." Despite his bright outlook, Fabregas is aware of the challenge the Iberians face against France during Tuesday's match. "We will try to go as far as we can but it is very difficult as there are a lot of very big teams," the Arsenal player said. "It is very difficult to get to the final but all I'm sure of is that we have a great team with a great country and great manager." In order to beat France, Spain must maintain their impressive showing from the group-stage during the knock-out rounds. For Luis Aragones' men it is the chance to prove their worth to a skeptical audience, an opportunity Fabregas relished. "I'm sure we have all the right conditions to win the World Cup," he said.
