Ahli left-back Mohamed Abdul-Wahab said he was hit by Zamalek defender Mahmoud Mahmoud after Ahli scored their first goal in the Egyptian Cup final. "Mahmoud hit me in the face after we scored," Abdul-Wahab told reporters after Friday's 3-0 victory. "I tried to resume my run towards the goal but couldn't and fell on the ground." Abdul-Wahab fell unconscious after Meteb scored Ahli's first goal, and it took him few minutes to get up after receiving a fast treatment on the pitch. Talking about the game, Abdul-Wahab said: "We were all focused to win the game and the players well-executed the coach's instructions." Meanwhile, Ahli striker Emad Meteb congratulated both Ahli board and the fans with the Cup win. "I'm very happy to win the fifth trophy with the team this season, and very proud to be among this generation," Meteb said. Meteb's brace against Zamalek took his goal tally in the derbies to six goals in just three seasons. Meteb and Abdul-Wahab were key players for Ahli in their successful season. They were also members of Egypt's team that were crowned African champions earlier this year.
