Juventus have appointed Giovanni Cobolli Gigli as their new president and former Egypt coach Marco Tardelli as a board member, the Italian champions announced on their official website on Wednesday. The new selection comes after Juve's entire board of directors resigned following the match-fixing and refereeing scandal that shocked the Italian football scene. Former Bianconeri football director Luciano Moggi is currently under investigation for allegedly attempting to influence the choice of referees for his side's games. Juventus could be demoted to Serie B or docked points next season if they were proved guilty. Tardelli played for Inter Milan and Juventus, and won with the latter five Calcio titles, two Italian Cups as well as guided Italy to their 1982 World Cup triumph. He also coached Egypt in their World Cup 2006 qualifiers before being axed after disappointing results.
