Scan proves Zaki readiness
Published in FilGoal on 02 - 06 - 2006

A recent medical scan proved that Lokomotiv Moscow striker Amr Zaki has recuperated from a knee injury that has been under the spotlight lately.
Doctors supervising the former Enppi player said that he was in good shape and that he could play regularly as soon as possible, Zaki told FilGoal.com exclusively on Friday from Germany.
Zaki went to Germany to follow up on a minor knee surgery he had underwent two years ago after recommendations by the Russian club's medical staff.
On the other hand, Zaki revealed his disappointment at some of FilGoal.com members' comments on his exclusive statement to the website on Thursday, and insisted that he has been misunderstood.
“The website's subscribers accused me of being an opportunist and that I manipulated Ahli and Zamalek officials to get them to agree on my materialistic needs, and this is totally untrue,” Zaki insisted.
“If I was looking for money, I would've stayed with Lokomotiv where I would've been paid 500,000 Euros each year, which I wouldn't have seen half in Egypt even if I played for Zamalek or Ahli,” he added.
The talented striker, who had stated that he has yet to sign for Zamalek and that he opened the door for any club to sign him, insisted that Lokomotiv had the final word in his deal search, given that they will be looking for the highest deal.
“Playing for Ahli or Zamalek would be a great honor for me, they are both big clubs with huge fan bases,” Zaki added.
Zaki will be heading for Russia on Friday to review Lokomotiv's final agreement with Zamalek, and will head to Cairo to finalize the deal if he agrees on the personal terms.
