6 October City-Mohamed Sabe & Ahmed Maher: African champions Ahli were seeded atop Group A of the African Champions League quarter-finals in the draw that took place on at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Saturday. Ahli were drawn in a tough group that includes Algerian side Sportive Kabylie, Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Club Sfaxien of Tunisia. The Egyptian champions will commence their Group A by facing Sfaxien away in Tunisia on the 14th/15th/16th of July. Two-time African champions Enyimba were seeded atop Group B that includes ASEC Mimosas, Hearts of Oak and South African side Orlando Pirates. Ahli, four-time African champions, are the only remaining Egyptian team in continental competitions after Enppi, Harras Al-Hodoud and Ittihad were all ousted from the African Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
