QUOTES
Egypt assistant coach Diaa Al-Sayed
"First, we need to win this game so that we can improve our FIFA ranking and get a confidence boost ahead of the decisive final round.
"Maintaining our 100% record would be a strong message to our next opponents.
"We are not concerned which team we will face in the playoffs. If we want to reach the World Cup, we have to overcome any side."
Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer
"We still feel some bitterness after our defeat to Egypt (in injury time) in Conakry.
"We were poor defensively and eventually paid dearly, but hopefully we will get heart from it and cause the Egyptian team problems this time."
TEAM NEWS
Egypt have a long list of absentees for various reasons, including captain and key defender Wael Gomaa - who is on a yellow card.
Gomaa's Ahli mate Hossam Ashour will also be rested to avoid a second caution, while Mohamed Elneny has been ruled out after injuring his shoulder in training.
First-choice left-back Mohamed Abdul-Shafi controversially pulled out of the squad as Emad Meteb, Geddo and Hosni Abd-Rabou remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
As for Guinea, AC Milan defender Kevin Constant is set to make his first appearance in almost a year after deciding to end his ‘international boycott' to the Syli Nationale.
