Egypt's Amr Zaki will return to Zamalek after his loan spell with Hull City ended, the Egypt striker's agent said on Saturday. "Hull coach Iain Dowie officially informed Zaki that his loan deal came to an end," Nader Shawki told Filgoal.com. "Zaki will return to Cairo on Sunday to join up with Zamalek." The combative striker moved to Hull in January with the hope of resurrecting his career in the English Premier League, having spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic. He struggled to regain top form though and failed to boost his chances of staying in the elite competition beyond this season. Zaki was Hull's sole signing in the winter transfer window but he hardly repaid their faith as he could not score in six league appearances with the Tigers. His progress was also hindered by a niggling knee injury he picked up in March to prematurely end his Hull adventure. "Zaki needs 10 more days to complete his recovery, so it will be very difficult for Dowie to rely on him during the remaining games of the season because he will not be fully fit," Shawki added. The 27-year-old is unlikely to be eligible to play for Zamalek in their Egyptian Cup campaign. However, his return could hand the Cairo giants' coach Hossam Hassan, who repeatedly complained about shortage of options upfront, a major boost for next season.
