CAIRO - Egypt's Police and Army arrested on Monday 140 anti-Israel protesters outside the Israeli Embassy in Cairo when they rioted, injuring tens of people, Al-Youm Al-Sabie reports. Protesters demonstrated outside the Embassy on Sunday, demanding the expulsion of Israel's Ambassador. They clashed with riot police, who, backed by soldiers, fired teargas at the protesters. They retaliated by throwing paving stones and burning tyres at the forces of law and order. At least 24 people were injured in the clashes, according to the Health Ministry, quoted by the official MENA news agency. The protest was one of a series timed to coincide with the establishment of the Israeli State 63 years ago, in what is commonly referred to in Arabic as the ‘Nakba' (Catastrophe).
