CAIRO - Al-Ahly defender Sherif Abdul-Fadil was omitted from his team's squad for the Egyptian Premier League match with El-Geish in Cairo Sunday nighht. Former Ismaili man Abdul-Fadil was not injured and Ahly didn't reveal the reason why he was left out. On the other hand, defender Mohamed Samir, who has been confined to the bench since head coach Manuel Jose took over, was a surprise inclusion. As usual, young trio Ahmed Shokri, Afrotto and Shehab Ahmed were excluded. Algerian ace Amir Saioud was named in the 18-man squad for the second consecutive time. Geish coach Farouk Gaafar, meanwhile, believes his side have to attack Ahly in order to stand a chance to emerge winners in Sunday's league match. "I think that attack is the best way to defend your goal, so I decided to play an open game. "I called on the players to focus and to be at their best, mentally and physically," Gaafar added.
