CAIRO - Egypt's trade deficit jumped by 42.6 per cent in October to LE17.48 billion ($3 billion), against LE12.25 billion in October 2009, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA), reported on Sunday, citing the State-run Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS). Exports rose by 22.2 per cent to LE12.7 billion in October, compared to LE10.4 billion in October 2009. Meanwhile, imports increased by 33.2 per cent to LE30.23 billion in October, against LE22.7 billion in the same month of the previous year.
