BARCELONA, Spain, Oct 8 , 2018 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri conferred with his Mauritanian counterpart Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on preparations for the coming meeting of the Egyptian-Mauritanian committee to be held in Nouakchott. The two ministers, who held talks on the sidelines of the 3rd regional forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), currently in session here, tackled ways to promote relations between the two countries. They exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said. Shoukri said Egypt is very keen on bilateral relations with Mauritania and appreciates coordination and co-operation between the two countries, the spokesman added. The Mauritanian foreign minister expressed his country's appreciation of historical relations with Egypt, asserting keenness on pushing forward bilateral ties.
