CAIRO, July 31, 2018 (MENA) -- The Tahya Misr Fund has opened a centre in Minya governorate for treating 10,000 Hepatitis C patients by 2020. The patients will undergo medical screenings at the centre and will be given free treatment. The Financial Manager of the Tahya Misr Fund, Tamer Abdel Fattah, said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had issued directives for the treatment for Hepatitis C to be offered free of charge. The Financial Manager added that the fund was co-operating with the Ministry of Health to fight Hepatitis C, by offering free medical check-ups and treatment for emergency cases. The fund has contributed to the running of medical check-ups on 1.5 million citizens and to offering free treatment to 257,000 patients.
