Algeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra invited President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Tuesday at the behest of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to participate in the upcoming Arab Summit that will be held in Algeria at the beginning of November.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady, Lamamra also stressed Algeria's keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation frameworks with Egypt on various levels and taking them to broader horizons that are in line with the brotherly bonds between the two countries and peoples.
For his part, Al-Sisi requested that his greetings be conveyed to his Algerian counterpart, welcomed the invitation for the summit, and expressed Egypt's aspiration to work with Algeria to ensure the success of the Arab Summit in promoting joint Arab action to address the challenges facing the nation.
Al-Sisi also affirmed Egypt's interest in strengthening areas of joint bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries during the coming period in all fields.
Moreover, the meeting dealt with discussions on the prospects for bilateral relations between the two countries, the common desire to strengthen cooperation frameworks in various fields, and maximising effective communication channels between the two countries.
Finally, the meeting included an exchange of views on a number of regional issues of common interest at the Arab level — especially the latest developments in Syria, Libya, and Iraq — stressing the importance of intensifying mutual coordination to work on restoring security, stability, and regional peace.
