CSR Egypt announced in a press statement on Tuesday that the 12th edition of the Egypt CSR and Sustainable Development Forum will be held from 10 to 13 March in Luxor.
The organisation said that the edition will be held under the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to accelerate the process of achieving balanced sustainable development in all of Egypt's governorates as well as to drive all parties to implement Egypt's 2030 Vision.
The 12th edition, titled 'Institutional development and capacity-building, the main driver for implementing sustainability standards', aims to support the state's efforts to provide a decent life for Egyptians nationwide. The forum also creates effective partnerships that provide the necessary funding to speed up the localisation of the UN's sustainable development goals.
Hassan Mostafa, the President of the Egypt CSR and Sustainable Development Forum, stated that this edition is exceptional and will aim to provide scientific and practical content that provides added value to all workers and those interested in sustainable development in Egypt.
He added that it will review the state's plans and the competitive advantage of Egyptian governorates and the importance of participation in development initiatives with a clear impact.
Furthermore, he noted that two training courses will be held: One that is based on GRI standards and how to prepare and write sustainability reports, and another on the standards of social, environmental, and governance sustainability.
Mostafa added that this year's forum will also host several heads of international companies and foreign experts to talk about the effects of climate change, sustainable finance, and green banking.
During its three-day session this year, the forum will discuss several important tracks that work to bridge the financing gaps and the equitable distribution of financing opportunities in a manner commensurate with the available opportunities.
The forum will conclude its activities by hosting more than 20 entrepreneurs from Upper Egypt to present their ideas and projects that are in line with sustainability standards to provide an opportunity for youth empowerment.
This year's forum is targeting the attendance of more than 300 experts and stakeholders and more than 50 companies and institutions from the business community along with national civil society organisations and representatives of the international community.
