Ibrahim El-Araby, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and President of the Union of African Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Agriculture, and Professions (UACCIAP), has held a series of meetings with Bulgarian officials and businessmen.
These meetings aim to push joint economic relations to develop inter-trade, which witnessed a tangible development during the past five years, and to study a set of Industrial partnerships with Bulgarian companies.
El-Araby noted that the FEDCOC is preparing an economic conference to receive Bulgarian Minister of Trade, who is scheduled to visit Egypt at the end of this month for a period of 5 days.
During the conference, the federation will present all possible economic cooperation opportunities that would advance joint economic relations in a manner that achieves the interests of both parties.
He noted: "Despite the importance of trade development, joint industrial cooperation and value-added trade for joint export to global markets would achieve real and sustainable development of joint economic relations between the two countries, in addition to reviving Joint Business Council to achieve continuous communication between business communities in the two countries to identify all available cooperation opportunities."
The Ambassador of Bulgaria in Cairo, Deyan Angelov Katratchev, expressed his country's real desire to develop joint economic relations with Egypt in all fields, whether by developing intra-trade and opening horizons for joint industrial cooperation.
He also stressed his country's desire to participate in the new industrial zones, especially the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Katratchev explained that the Bulgarian Minister of Trade will discuss all available cooperation opportunities during her upcoming visit to Cairo, as the programme of her visit includes holding a series of meetings with the government and the Egyptian business community. In addition, she will visit a group of new industrial zones and the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
He stressed the importance of reviving the joint business council to be a gathering of businessmen from both countries to develop economic relations and present all available opportunities for joint trade and manufacturing.
The ambassador pointed out that Egypt's recent successes in all fields have attracted the attention of giant international companies, including Bulgaria, to enhance joint cooperation in light of the improvement in the investment climate and security and economic stability that Egypt currently enjoys, praising what has been accomplished in the New Administrative Capital.
