Exhibition aims to help integrate burn victims into society by educating, training child burns victims in painting

The Ahl Masr Foundation for Development has, in cooperation with the Art and Talent Zone, held an art exhibition, allocating 10% of the sales for burns victims at the Ahl Masr Hospital.
The exhibition, called "There is a sweet need", comes as part of the community activities set up by the Art and Talent Zone's academy, and is held annually to showcase the academy's artists. It includes a group of 250 paintings showing the beauty of Egypt, and its ancient and modern landmarks.
This year's exhibition included a group of 50 artworks by young artists aged between 5 and 16 years old. It took place with the participation of Heba El Sewedy, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the Ahl Masr Foundation for Development.
The exhibition also aims to help integrate burn victims into society by educating and training a group of child burns victims in drawing and painting. It also aims to develop their skills and discover their artistic capabilities, as a serious step to integrate the victims into society and enable them to practice all skills.
El-Sewedy expressed her happiness with the Art and Talent Zone Academy's initiative, and pointed out that the Ahl Masr Foundation for Development's role is not limited to providing health and medical care.
It also aims to implement all aspects of community care, and integrate burn victims into society to ensure they are active individuals. The foundation also works to combat discrimination and the social rejection of burn victims.
She explained that Ahl Masr seeks to communicate with all governmental and non-governmental bodies and institutions, in order to consolidate the issue of burns and work to provide all aspects of helping victims.
The organisation has also helped in raising awareness of the seriousness of burns, launching an initiative to train burn victims and developing their technical skills. This has had a positive impact on their psychological health during the treatment journey.
