Thousands have joined the doctors syndicate general assembly on Friday in a "historic" turnout to vote on decision against attack on doctors. The assembly, held at the syndicate headquarters in downtown, was scheduled after a group of officers assaulted two doctors working at Al-Matariya hospital. About 4,000 doctors across Egypt attended the assembly to vote on a general strike. Photos by Ahmed Hendawy
