A total of six small-scale explosions took place in different parts of the Cairo and Giza governorates on Friday morning, according to the state-owned news agency MENA. No casualties or injuries have as yet been reported One of the explosive devices went off outside an electricity unit in Cairo's Maadi neighborhood, damaging three cars, while another one went off in Zaytoun. Two more went off outside a gas supply unit in the suburban 6 October city. Two more bombs went off later in the day in the Al-Marg and Al-Amerya neighborhoods. Bomb attacks, primarily targeting police stations, have become a regular occurrence over the past year and a half.
