Mansour in Kuwait, ahead of UAE visit
Published in Daily News Egypt on 31 - 10 - 2013

Interim President Adly Mansour held talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday, after arriving with an Egyptian delegation in Kuwait, as part of a two-stop tour.
Mansour and the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah discussed the strength of ties between the two Arab countries.
Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah said the talks addressed strengthening ties between the two countries and ways to support security and stability in Egypt, state run MENA reported. They also discussed recent developments in the region and internationally.
Upon arrival, Mansour and his delegation which includes Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy were received by the Kuwaiti Emir, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as well as the speaker of the state's National Assembly, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Kuwait's state-agency reported.
The one day visit to Kuwait is going to be followed by a stop in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which will bring the number of countries Mansour visited as president to four, after he visited Saudi Arabia, followed by Jordan in his first overseas tour, earlier this month where he held talks with the kings of both countries.
In the UAE, the interim president is scheduled to hold talks on bi-lateral relations and regional developments with Emirati President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan state-run news agency MENA reported. Manosur will hold talks with Emirati Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Interim Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi had returned earlier this week from a trip to the UAE after a three day visit.
The three gulf countries, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have pledged billions of dollars in aid to Egypt, following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi on 3 July. All four countries Mansour visited were quick to support the change in power that swept Egypt on 3 July.
