Around half of Egyptians are not satisfied with a limited cabinet reshuffle. They prefer instead a complete overhaul of Prime Minister Hisham Qandil's cabinet, according to the latest public opinion poll conducted by The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera). According to the poll, which was conducted at the end of April, 47 percent of respondents said that they prefer a new cabinet that is not led by Qandil, while 24 percent of respondents said they prefer a limited cabinet reshuffle. Only seven percent of respondents said that they don't prefer any cabinet reshuffle right now. Fifth of the respondents (21 percent) said that they don't know or they are unsure about the suitable scope of the cabinet reshuffle. In the poll, respondents were asked the question: Do you prefer a complete cabinet reshuffle or a limited cabinet reshuffle or do you prefer the current cabinet without any changes? Results of the polls showed that the percentage of those who prefer a complete cabinet reshuffle increases in urban areas to 55 percent, compared with 41 percent in rural areas. The percentage also increases in urban governorates to 57 percent, compared to 46 percent in Lower Egypt and 44 percent in Upper Egypt. The percentage of those who don't prefer any cabinet reshuffle reached 6 percent in urban governorates and Lower Egypt, compared with 10 percent in Upper Egypt. Moreover, the results showed that respondents with higher education demand dismissal of Qandil and his cabinet. The poll said that 62 percent of respondents with a university degree prefer a complete cabinet reshuffle, while 27 percent of them prefer changing some ministers. Only 6 percent said that they don't favour a cabinet reshuffle right now. Five percent among respondents with a university degree said that they don't know about the scope of cabinet reshuffle. Around 39 percent of respondents with less than intermediate education said that they prefer a complete cabinet reshuffle, compared with 21 percent who prefer dismissal of some ministers. Nine percent said they don't prefer a cabinet reshuffle, while 32 percent said that they don't know or they are unsure about the suitable scope of the cabinet reshuffle.
