This was a quiet week for Egyptian football with matches for powerhouses Al-Ahly and Zamalek postponed and several other fixtures seeing scoreless draws. In Group 1 ENPPI maintained their position in second place with 16 points from nine games after a scoreless draw with Misr Al-Makasa who also retained their sixth spot. Haras Al-Hodood dropped to fourth place after another scoreless with Wadi Degla, allowing Smouha to capitalise and climb up to third place following their victory over Telephonat Beni Suef, with Hamada Yehia scoring the only goal of the match just past the half hour mark. Over in Group 2 Ismaily retained second place following their 4-0 victory over fifth placed Tala'ea El-Gaish, with Amr Al-Soleya and John Antwi scoring a brace each. Ittihad El-Shorta's 4-1 victory over El-Entag El-Harby cemented their position in third place with 15 points from 9 games. Al-Moqaweloon Al-Arab secured only their second victory this season, a 3-1 win over Al-Dakhlia, but it was not enough to lift them out of eighth place and the relegation zone.
