GENEVA: A second boat is leaving Friday for Tripoli to evacuate more migrants, the International Organization for Migration said. "A second IOM chartered boat is today leaving the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi for Tripoli where it will evacuate more migrants stranded by the violence there," said the inter-governmental agency in a statement. The boat, due to arrive in Tripoli during the weekend, is also carrying aid supplies and 50 humanitarian workers into the capital. "Assuming security conditions are right, the IOM chartered boat will dock and offload the aid before migrants are boarded for departure," said the IOM. Bangladeshi, Chinese, Filipino, Indian and Egyptian migrants are expected to be among evacuees in the second operation. On Thursday, the agency managed to bring 263 migrants out of Tripoli on a first ship, despite increased shooting in the area around the port before the ship was able to depart. The ship is now on the way to Benghazi.
