With Salma Hayek and Lucy Liu in town for the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival, fashion comparisons would be absurd between them and anyone else. It seems whatever these lovely ladies wear, they manage to steal all the lights and photographers' attentions. Hayek wore a very modest and demure wrap dress with a sophisticated blue and green print. Perhaps Balenciaga? PPR owner and billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault accompanied her on the red carpet. Hayek received a lifetime achievement award, as did Lucy Liu who attended the event wearing a sexy beige number printed with the barest traces of feathers. Lebanese TV host presenter Razan wore a white and black Grecian number, looking beautiful as she often does. But Tunisian actress Sandy Ali wore an awkward dress that was confused and kitsch. Her eager smile did nothing to help alleviate the visually sore sight of her dress.
