Fairmont Nile City will redefine Cairo's five-star experience
Published in Daily News Egypt on 28 - 08 - 2009

Due to launch this October, Fairmont Nile City is bringing in a new wave of sophistication to Cairo s five-star experience.
Both elegant and organically influenced, 1920s' art deco concepts are paired with earthy contemporary furniture, an elegant fusion that will guarantee guests' ultimate comfort.
Daily News Egypt was among the press team invited in for a premier sneak peak.
The 567-room complex is situated between the two Nile City towers with a scenic Nile view, arguably the most stunning in the city. The fine selection of rooms includes standard Fairmont rooms, deluxe rooms and deluxe Nile rooms, with the same variation offered at a suite level.
The rooms are spacious and homey, adorned with full-length windows that allow the sunlight to come through. The natural lighting compliments the softly colored interiors, creating a soothing ambience for guests.
Inside the bathroom, bathtubs are set across from the window, with a sliding door separating it from the bedroom area, giving one the option of enjoying the view while having a warm, relaxing bath.
The Fairmont Nile City will have a plate-full to offer when it comes to dining. At the lobby level, all-day dining Napa Grill is expected to be a must-go, with an extensive Californian wine list and Californian comfort food on offer.
Meanwhile, Saigon Bleu will serve exquisite French-Vietnamese cuisine under a female head chef, a rarity in Cairo's restaurant scene. The venue will be specialized in seafood, as fresh white meat would be brought in from the Red Sea. The interiors are of colonial era bamboo, set in multiple arrangements including a spacious area designated for large groups.
O Bar will be offering live jazz performances by Diamond Life, a band based in New Orleans. It will follow a raw food dining concept, specializing in sashimi, lobster and caviar. The bar will also include a humidor for cigars, a walk-in space that will also offer lockers for regular guests.
Geared up in jumpsuits and construction hats, in line with the hotel s current state of semi construction, the invited journalists made their way up in the elevator to the top floor where two other venues are situated. Due to open next March is another outlet which will become a hip venue with tunes by international DJs and a panoramic view of the city. On a clear day, you will be able to see the pyramids by day, and dance to the breeze of the Nile by night.
Situated among Cairo s impoverished Boulaq neighborhood, Fairmont Nile City is dedicated to homegrown raw materials, evident in design and material elements of its kitchens and interior design. Combining the luxurious lifestyle whilst respecting the challenges of Cairo, this hotel promises to be an emblem of the city. -Daily News Egypt
